"Before buying the Prakttismate 2a, I bought two other ping pong machines, the Newgy 1040 and the Amicus 3000. I ended up returning both those machines: the Newgy, because while it performed well for its price, it was incapable of delivering a realistic topspin at higher speeds, and the Amicus due to issues with ball delivery (it could well be I had a defective unit).
But that's okay, because the Prakttismate 2a has proven to be all the machine I'll ever need. True, it is not the most aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment to look at, but on the other hand, it is probably one of the most solidly constructed and well engineered machines on the market, and I'll definitely take that trade. Most importantly, the Prakttismate delivers an extremely realistic spin, and has so far performed reliably. And on those infrequent occasions when balls do not feed into the the ball shaft as they ought to (an issue which you will probably find with every table tennis ball serving machine), fixing the problem is a snap, simply nudging one of the balls with the fingers after turning off the ball feeder, which was not true with the Newgy and the Amicus machines, both which require taking the machine at least partially apart to fix the issue.
A not insignificant bonus is the fantastic net, which does look beautiful, and which is far superior to the nets provided with the other machines. This is important because, when it comes time to set up the machine and take it down when you want to play a game, the net comes off easily. So does the machine too--I can take down and put up the machine and net in a round trip of approximately 3 minutes on a good day.
I highly recommend this unit, it is a superb value."

I have a Prakttismate 2, and it is terrific. That and the "Big Green Egg"
grill/smoker are the best two products I've ever bought.
